Description
The first part of a triptych I did for my prelims last year. The work is intended as an examination of Romanticism, using three colours, ideals and figures which, for me, express what the Romantic Period was all about.
The theme for this one is 'expression', and the figure is Franz Liszt. (Most of the Romantic composers would probably have fitted the theme, but IMHO, Liszt's lifestyle, persona, appearance, virtuosity and progressive attitude to music make him the quintessential romantic)
